Decorating my home is one of my favorite things to do to get ready for changing seasons and holidays! I usually buy some decorations but I also love making homemade garlands, pennant banners and festive wreaths. This candy corn pennant banner is simple to make out of colored card stock and some ribbon! A fall pennant banner is a cute accent for a Halloween party or Fall Festival. You can easily make your own candy corn pennant banner in a few simple steps.
Craft Supplies
- orange, yellow and white cardstock
- glue stick
- ribbon
- hot glue gun
- scissors
Cut out triangles using orange cardstock and round the corners to look like candy corn. You can make your candy corn pennants as large or as small as you’d like. Place a yellow piece of paper over the base of a candy corn shape and cut around it. Use this yellow shape to cut more yellow candy corn bases for the rest of the pennants. Repeat with white card stock, place a piece of white card stock over the tip of a candy corn shape and cut around it. Use the white shape to cut candy corn tips for the rest of the pennants.
Glue the yellow and white shapes you cut out onto the orange candy corn triangles and trim any overhanging edges. I used a glue stick rather than liquid craft glue to keep the paper from rippling.
Make 6 to 8 paper candy corn pennants to glue into a length of ribbon to make a banner long enough to decorate a party table or doorway.

Once you assemble the candy corn pennants, use a hot glue gun to attach them to a length of ribbon at regular spaced-out intervals. Hot glue will dry quickly and will hold up the pennants better than craft glue.
A candy corn pennant banner is a fun way to refresh your home with easy, DIY decor!
