If your kids are like mine, they love refreshing summer treats. Frozen yogurt popsicles are delicious and fairly healthy if you make them yourself. They’re also easy to make! You can make yogurt popsicles a single flavor, or layer different yogurt flavors in an ice pop mold. We made popsicles with three flavors each. Alternately, you could try making popsicles with plain Greek yogurt sweetened with honey.
Homemade Yogurt Popsicles
To make homemade frozen yogurt popsicles, you’ll need several fruit yogurt flavors. You’ll also need a popsicle mold.
Begin by carefully spooning yogurt inside each popsicle mold. You can fill a mold with one flavor of yogurt, or layer different yogurt flavors. I put three yogurt flavors into each ice pop mold in layers.
Once full, place the tops on the popsicle molds and freeze them in the freezer for several hours, or ideally overnight.
Layered Yogurt Popsicles
Kids will love these yummy yogurt ice pops. I think that frozen yogurt popsicles are a healthier version of ice cream bars. You can check the sugar content on each yogurt flavor, since some brands contain more sugar than others. Additionally, fruit flavored pops are so smooth and creamy. They’re a perfect treat for cooling off on a hot summer day!
Yummy yogurt flavors which are perfect for popsicles include blueberry, peach, strawberry, and vanilla. We also tried key lime yogurt and orange creamsicle yogurt.
Surprisingly, these yogurt ice pops don’t really drip. Instead, the yogurt just get soft in hot weather. Kids can enjoy their yogurt ice pops without making much of a mess. Overall, frozen yogurt popsicles are healthy, creamy and delicious! Enjoy!
