Our young children most enjoy half-day activities that include things to see, interactive activities and a spot to eat lunch. Our visit to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science provided a great selection of exhibits for our kids to explore. Highlights of our visit included the Prehistoric Journey dinosaur and fossil exhibit, the life-like wildlife panoramas and the Gems & Minerals exhibit. We also saw an IMAX show about flight and a Planetarium presentation.

Where we live Winter can be a season of “cabin fever” with little ones at home. It takes a lot of effort to bundle them all up just to get outside for half an hour but it is always worth it! Today we had lots of fun at the New Leaf Nursery fall festival! We stopped on the way home from my daughter’s soccer game and she immediately spotted the colorful bounce houses and “Zorb” inflatable balls. This Coeur d’Alene nursery family day offered plenty of free things to do too; a petting zoo, a hay bale maze, rock painting and beautiful fall flowers to view.
