The fall is a great time to plan a family getaway and enjoy lots of fun activities under one roof. With more than 17 locations, Great Wolf Lodge is a memorable destination for kids of all ages. Last year our family enjoyed splashing at the spacious water park, navigating the high ropes course, and playing mini golf. Great Wolf Lodge is hosting its Howl-O-Ween celebration from Oct. 1 – 31, 2019 as well as its Snowland Event from Nov. 30 – Jan 5, 2020. At Grand Mound, Washington this fall, guests are encouraged to put on costumes and join in a wealth of daily activities including monster bash dance parties and fall-fun crafting projects. Kids can also trick-or-treat along a trail filled with interactive games and adventures throughout the resort.

Easy DIY Edible Marshmallow Play Dough

Kids love sensory activities. Anything they can squeeze, squish, mix and even taste is often an instant win. When I mix up a batch of homemade play dough, my kids want to help choose the colors and stir the dough. We used marshmallows to make edible marshmallow play dough for the kids to play with one afternoon. Edible play dough easily resembles moldable fondant and it’s simple to make with a few ingredients. If your family is anything like ours, you probably have a bag (or 2) of old gummy marshmallows sitting in your cabinet — which is perfect for this DIY kids’ activity!
