Gluten Free Sugar Cookies
Make these delightful gluten free sugar cookies that taste just like regular cookies and turn out beautifully.

- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 tsp. milk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 cups gluten free flour
Cream the sugar and butter, mixing with a hand mixer or stand mixer for 3 minutes.
Add the egg, vanilla extract, and milk, mixing until fully blended.
Combine the flour and salt. Scoop it a little at a time into the wet ingredients, mixing until fully blended. The dough may appear sandy at first. Keep mixing until the dough reaches a moldable consistency.
Chill the dough until cold, approx. 30 minutes. Turn it out onto a surface dusted with gluten free flour. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and cut out cookie shapes. Alternately, cut out the shapes first and chill the cookies on a baking sheet on a shelf in the refrigerator.
Bake the chilled cookies at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
