Blaire’s Story: Connection Over Screens
Blaire has beautiful red hair, green eyes, and a sweet collection of outfits. She works hard on her family’s sustainable farm and helps plan farm-to-table celebrations. American Girl describes her as a young chef-in-training who loves bringing people together. Her book series highlights friendship and connecting with the people in your life.
That message resonates in our home. We plan our schedule so we can eat meals together and have real conversations. We listen to our kids’ simple questions, so they feel welcome to ask the harder ones later. Our kids have limited screen time, and we try to minimize phone distractions during family time.
AG Doll Details
The 18″ Blaire doll has bright green eyes that open and close. Her curly red hair comes in a pretty pulled-back style. Like all American Girl dolls, she has a huggable cloth body and smooth vinyl limbs. She comes with the Blaire paperback book and her signature outfit.
Blaire’s white sundress has a whimsical bumblebee print. Ruched detailing adds texture to the bodice, and a gathered tie makes a bow at the neckline. Tiny yellow buttons run down the front. She also comes with a yellow bandanna bracelet, a flower hair comb, and purple platform sandals.
Blaire’s Outfits and Accessories
Girls can collect a variety of add-ons for Blaire. Her gardening outfit comes with a smocked top, overalls, and green gardening boots. Other add-ons include her bridesmaid dress, floral outfit, gardening apron, and sun hat. There are also furniture sets, like her family farm restaurant and her garden.
Blaire’s gardening outfit is especially adorable. The green boots are perfect for stomping in the mud. I don’t usually love the overalls look, but Blaire pulls it off with floral embroidery and an off-the-shoulder smock top.
American Girl Quality
I love that my girls can collect the coordinating sets over time. I encourage them to collect toy sets rather than accumulate random clutter. Some reviews say American Girl’s quality has changed over the years. Personally, I have been pleased with our recent dolls. To me, they compare closely with my original Truly Me doll from more than 20 years ago. I teach my girls to care for their dolls, and if something does happen, American Girl offers a doll hospital service.
