We love traveling, seeing new places and trying new experiences. We also know family adventures can be tricky with young kids. This fall we enjoyed a short family road trip to Seattle, Washington. This summer my husband took our family adventures to a whole new level! Our recent road trip took us to the mountain trails in Ouray, Colorado. Before our family vacation, my husband carefully outfit our RZR off-road vehicle with harasses and seat belts for the whole family. Once in the mountains, we explored several of the easiest trail routes and saw some gorgeous views! Some parts were a bit bumpier than my kids preferred but they were troopers and they will hopefully remember some of these amazing adventures!
Our family road trip took us to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, where we saw exhibits about dinosaurs, gems & minerals, an IMAX presentation on flight and visited the Planetarium. We also had fun at the museum’s interactive kid-focused Discovery Zone, a highlight of our visit!
What do you like to do when the weather gets warmer? Our family loves to travel and explore new places. Our recent family adventures took us down the coast of California, over to Colorado and back up to Coeur d’Alene Idaho. We visited some of our extended family in California and stayed in our toy hauler RV trailer, which makes traveling with kids so much easier. Our RV provides our kids comfortable spaces to nap after a shopping trip and a place to rinse off after a swim at the pool. We can also wake up in the morning and make a full breakfast, saving money and reducing the hassle of eating out with little kids. Here are some of the highlights from our California glamping road trip!
The best travel destinations are places for families to make memories, get some exercise and enjoy some good old family fun. Zion National Park is a great place to visit and go on a family hike. We enjoyed exploring the canyon paths, walking in the river and taking in the gorgeous views on all sides.
Traveling in the winter can be a fun way to mix up your family’s routine and spend some quality time together. When choosing a hotel on a family trip, it’s helpful to research destinations ahead of time so you know how long it will take to get there and which amenities are available for your family to enjoy. We’ve found that family travel especially with young kids goes much more smoothly with a little thoughtful planning.
