Interactive Kids Bath Toys and Gentle Body Products

by Katie Wallace | Updated: November 25, 2015

Bath time can be a highlight of the day or a total struggle, depending on the mood of your kids. We’ve found that the right toys and products can turn bath time into something kids look forward to. Here are some of our favorite interactive kids bath toys and gentle body products that make getting clean exciting and fun.

Yookidoo submarine station fun bath activities

Yookidoo Interactive Bath Toys

Yookidoo really knows what captures a child’s attention during bath time. We tried two of their most interactive kids bath toys: the Flow ‘N’ Fill Spout and the Submarine Spray Station.

The Flow ‘N’ Fill Spout draws water up through a spout, letting kids fill and pour stacking cups with friendly faces. One cup has a hole in the bottom, which spins a pinwheel when water flows through. This movement is a fun way to introduce cause-and-effect play and water-powered action.

The Submarine Spray Station includes a small underwater pump and a handheld shower wand that kids can use to fill different parts of the play station. It sprays water, spins googly eyes, and powers another pinwheel. Our kids even use the wand to rinse themselves off, which helps build confidence in learning how to wash on their own.

Both of these bath toys were winners in our Top Product Awards for their creative design and hands-on interaction.

Sudsy Bath Soap

If your kids need a little extra motivation to lather up, Sudsy Dough Moldable Soap is a fun way to teach them how to wash. It’s squishy like play dough and infused with moisturizing ingredients like shea butter and beeswax. Each tub comes with a surprise bath toy and is available in fun scents like Merry Mango, Bubbly Blueberry, and Awesome Apple. Our girls especially love pairing Sudsy Dough with their bath crayons to create bubbly art on the tub walls.

TOMY Interactive Bath Toys

Additionally, TOMY’s interactive kids bath toys are also a hit with our children. One of our favorites is the See Under the Sea Submarine, which lights up and plays music underwater. Kids can press buttons to activate realistic submarine sounds or launch the walrus captain into the water. Other fun TOMY picks include the Water Whistler and the Rocket Fountain, both of which keep bath time exciting.

Natural Bath Products from Active Essentials

Furthermore, we love using the gentle, natural body care products from Active Essentials. Their Egyptian Calendula & Aloe Baby Body Wash is soft and nourishing, made with ingredients like coconut oil and free from harsh chemicals. It leaves skin clean without drying it out.

The Calendula Baby Bath Oil is great for moisturizing sensitive skin, and the Comfrey Healing Baby Balm works well for soothing eczema, cradle cap, and dry patches. These products are plant-based and rich in nutrients that support healthy skin.

Soft Kids Towels from Breganwood

To finish bath time, we love wrapping our kids in Breganwood’s organic hooded towels. They’re thick, soft, and generously sized. The jungle-themed designs are whimsical and modern, and the quality is top notch. After a warm bath, these cozy towels help make the transition to pajamas feel extra special.

Bath time doesn’t have to be a chore. With a few interactive toys and quality products, it can become something your kids look forward to. These bath time favorites also make great gifts for birthdays, holidays, or baby showers. More than just getting clean, bath time is a chance for kids to play, learn, and gain a little more independence each day.

Let us know what your kids love most about bath time. We’d love to hear your favorite routines and products!

πŸ’‘ Essential tips for traveling with our 4 kids! 🧳 πŸ’‘ Essential tips for traveling with our 4 kids!

🧳 Pack light with items that do more

We bring clothes that mix and match, quick-dry layers, fold-flat totes, and activities that encourage creativity. Think art supplies and travel board games. The less we carry, the more we can explore.

πŸ₯ͺ Eat often and try new flavors
We use snack stops and meals to experience local culture. Bakeries, fruit stands, and small cafΓ©s become our favorite spots.

🏞️ Choose simple adventures over packed days
We go on kid-friendly hikes, stop at playgrounds, and tour cultural centers. We visit great houses, historic workhouses, and local museums.

πŸ“± Use screens sparingly
Ideally our kids only use screens on travel days, and with a time limit. Shows and multi-player games can help turn dull afternoons into family fun!

πŸ”¦ Encourage curiosity
We explore as much as we can with our four kids, shopping at markets, using public transportation, and visiting immersive attractions. We find many free activities, and budget for must-see destinations.
