How to Make a DIY Flower Crown

To make DIY flower crowns, you will need an assortment of artificial flowers. Various sizes of blooms will make your custom flower headbands more interesting. I used miniature roses, small white daisies, and tiny white flower accents.

Make the Wire Crown

To begin a DIY flower crown, first form the crown structure using the wrapped floral wire. Twist two pieces of wire together at intervals to create a scalloped pattern. Add additional wire pieces as needed, tightly twisting the ends into the design. Once you’ve created a length of scalloped twisted wire that is long enough to make a crown, twist the two ends of the crown together to create a circlet.

Attach Artificial Flowers

Next, assemble a variety of artificial flowers, both small and medium. Cut off an assortment of small and medium floral leaves from their stems, to include in the floral crown design. Finally, choose a handful of floral sprays with tiny flowers, to add interest to the flower crown design.

Use a hot glue gun to attach the artificial flowers along the crown. Alternate between medium and small flowers. Glue on flowers to reinforce and hide sections of the crown where you can see overlapping wire ends.

Finally, detail the crown by gluing on miniature leaves interspersed among the flowers. Cut up the floral sprays and glue on segments of tiny flowers tucked beside the small and medium blooms. Add ribbon streamers to the back of the flower crown as a whimsical touch.

You can design a DIY flower crown using any style of flowers you’d like! Prefer a simple wrapped crown style? See our classic flower crown tutorial here.

How to Make a Flower Girl Bouquet

You can also easily create a miniature flower bouquet using a variety of inexpensive craft materials. You will need:

  • artificial flowers with stems of the same length
  • floral tape
  • ribbon
  • hot glue gun
  • scissors
  • wire cutter

Assemble the flowers into a bouquet, trimming the stems to an even length. I used several guidelines to arrange the flowers. First, I put the tallest flowers near the center of the bouquet. Next, I evenly mixed large and small flowers to create an even floral design. Finally, I wrapped the artificial flower stems with floral tape to keep the bouquet together.

Once you’ve arranged the artificial flowers, tightly wrap the stems together with floral tape. Glue down the end of the floral tape with hot glue.

As an extra touch, wrap the stem of your bouquet with ribbon. Secure the ends of the ribbon firmly in place with hot glue.

I finished these flower girl bouquets by tying on several extra pieces of ribbon and a decorative bead.

🌟Our kids quickly discovered that the world is big 🌟Our kids quickly discovered that the world is bigger than their own yard, town, or state.

Every new adventure teaches them they can do hard things!

Travel also teaches kids flexibility, resilience, and resourcefulness in real life.

Already, our kids can confidently order lunch in another language, navigate a new city, and start planning our next adventure themselves. 🌍

We’ve experienced that travel isn’t just about seeing new places. It’s about raising curious, confident kids who are ready for the world!

Turns out iPhones and saltwater don’t mix. 💦 A qui Turns out iPhones and saltwater don’t mix. 💦 A quick dip (a splash really) completely destroyed my phone’s screen and any media that wasn’t backed up to iCloud.

Not a huge deal though. 😌 I was without a phone for a week and I realized it was refreshing. So when I got a new iPhone $1000 later, I made some big changes. I didn’t reinstall half my apps. No Signal or Facebook. I continue to not have X, Snapchat, or TikTok. Because I’m so busy with family life and being a mom (and pregnant), these apps are just so distracting and overstimulating for me.

Good news! I have a working phone and you can find me on Instagram, text on iMessage, and occasionally see photos on Facebook when I post from my computer.

💬 Is anyone else completely overstimulated by all the distracting apps?? 😄🤯

So magical! This was such a fun stop during our fa So magical! This was such a fun stop during our family adventures in Scotland! ⚡🍺

The Elephant House is well known as one of the cafés where J. K. Rowling spent time writing portions of the Harry Potter series. With views overlooking Edinburgh and a cozy atmosphere, it’s easy to see why this spot inspired so much creativity.

Whether you’re a Harry Potter fan or simply enjoy discovering unique places, it’s a memorable stop while exploring Edinburgh. And yes… the Butterbeer made the experience even more fun! ✨

⚡ If you could visit one Harry Potter filming location or inspiration in the UK, which one would you choose?
