Teen Girls Valentine’s Day Ideas

by Katie Wallace | Updated: February 4, 2026

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! It’s the perfect time to get creative and make something fun with your friends or sisters. Try mixing up your own DIY lip scrub or bath salts, growing sparkly heart-shaped crystals, or crafting cute paper heart bookmarks to share. These easy and creative Valentine’s Day ideas are a sweet way for teen girls to celebrate, spread love, and make lasting memories! ❤️

DIY Beauty Products

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a little self-care! Treat yourself by making homemade spa products to pamper your lips, face, and skin. Here are some of our favorite DIY beauty treats to try.

Rose Lip Scrub

Create a luxurious lip scrub in minutes with just a few simple ingredients. Combine 1 tablespoon of white sugar, 1 teaspoon of coffee grounds, and 1/4 teaspoon of rose water. Mix the homemade lip scrub well and transfer it to a small container. The scrub should have a sandy texture. To use, gently massage a small amount onto your lips to exfoliate and smooth them. Finish with a natural lip balm for soft, hydrated lips.

Lavender Sugar Scrub

Make an exfoliating skincare product by combining the roughness of sugar with moisturizing coconut oil. To make lavender sugar scrub, combine 1 tablespoon of white sugar with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Add 2 to 3 drops of lavender essential oil. Mix until fully combined and spoon the sugar scrub into a small container. You can use homemade sugar scrub on your hands, feet, and elbows to smooth roughness and moisturize your skin. Rinse off the sugar scrub with warm water and follow it with a natural moisturizer.

Chamomile Body Butter

Additionally, body butter is easy to make by combining shea butter and coconut oil. Add a sprinkle of chamomile tea for exfoliation and a soothing fragrance. You can tear open a tea bag and sprinkle the tea into the homemade body butter. Combine equal parts shea butter and coconut oil, followed by the tea. You can also add a few drops of any essential oils to make a stronger fragranced body butter, such as lemon or lavender.

Homemade Chocolates

What’s Valentine’s Day without chocolate? Consider making your own chocolates to create a personalized gift for your loved ones. While teens take the lead, younger siblings can join in to make their own Valentine’s Day treats! DIY chocolates are surprisingly easy to make. Just melt milk chocolate candy melts or a chocolate bar. For best results, I recommend melting chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between. Once melted, pour the chocolate into candy molds and add fun toppings such as sprinkles, nuts, or a dusting of cocoa powder. Finally, allow the chocolate to fully set before gently pressing each piece out of the candy mold. Enjoy making and sharing these delicious Valentine’s treats!

NeeDoh squeeze toys are soft and fun for sensory play, making them a trendy choice for kids and teens. My pre-teen girls especially enjoy fidgeting with squeeze toys like the NeeDoh honey hugs bear. It’s so squeezable and holds a charming “I love you so much” conversation heart, adding a sweet and playful touch. Not only are squeeze toys great for keeping little hands busy, but they’re also a fun way to relieve stress and spark smiles. Perfect for Valentine’s Day or any day you want to spread some love!

DIY Heart Crystals

If your kids enjoy hands-on activities, try making your own colorful heart crystals. This Valentine’s Day project combines art and science. Kids will be amazed to watch the heart borax crystals quickly grow in just a few hours. Furthermore, you can turn this activity into a science lesson by evaluating the chemical reaction caused by mixing two ingredients. Follow our step-by-step instructions to grow sparkling crystals by using pipe cleaners, boiling water, and borax.

Whether for Valentine’s Day or just because, this DIY paper project is creative and useful. Teen girls will enjoy selecting coordinating paper colors to create eye-catching bookmarks. Additionally, younger kids can practice carefully cutting out shapes. This project is also a great way to use craft paper scraps.

Valentine’s Day Slime

Last but not least, homemade slime is always a hit, no matter the season! For a fun Valentine’s Day twist, use the usual slime ingredients and add a splash of pink or red food coloring, a sprinkle of glitter, or some heart-shaped confetti. You can even mix in scented oils such as strawberry or vanilla to create a sensory experience. This DIY Valentine’s Day idea is a fun activity for teen girls to make together. Overall, homemade sensory slime is sure to inspire lots of smiles and squishy fun!

🌟Our kids quickly discovered that the world is big 🌟Our kids quickly discovered that the world is bigger than their own yard, town, or state.

Every new adventure teaches them they can do hard things!

Travel also teaches kids flexibility, resilience, and resourcefulness in real life.

Already, our kids can confidently order lunch in another language, navigate a new city, and start planning our next adventure themselves. 🌍

We’ve experienced that travel isn’t just about seeing new places. It’s about raising curious, confident kids who are ready for the world!

Turns out iPhones and saltwater don’t mix. 💦 A qui Turns out iPhones and saltwater don’t mix. 💦 A quick dip (a splash really) completely destroyed my phone’s screen and any media that wasn’t backed up to iCloud.

Not a huge deal though. 😌 I was without a phone for a week and I realized it was refreshing. So when I got a new iPhone $1000 later, I made some big changes. I didn’t reinstall half my apps. No Signal or Facebook. I continue to not have X, Snapchat, or TikTok. Because I’m so busy with family life and being a mom (and pregnant), these apps are just so distracting and overstimulating for me.

Good news! I have a working phone and you can find me on Instagram, text on iMessage, and occasionally see photos on Facebook when I post from my computer.

💬 Is anyone else completely overstimulated by all the distracting apps?? 😄🤯

The Elephant House is well known as one of the cafés where J. K. Rowling spent time writing portions of the Harry Potter series. With views overlooking Edinburgh and a cozy atmosphere, it’s easy to see why this spot inspired so much creativity.

Whether you’re a Harry Potter fan or simply enjoy discovering unique places, it’s a memorable stop while exploring Edinburgh. And yes… the Butterbeer made the experience even more fun! ✨

⚡ If you could visit one Harry Potter filming location or inspiration in the UK, which one would you choose?
