Ninja Coffee Bar System Review

Coffee is a daily essential for some of us. You can save a lot of money by making your own customized coffee drinks at home. I often like switching between iced coffee and hot coffee. It can be hard to effectively make both using the same coffee machine. Single cup coffee brewers can make great individual cups of coffee but they aren’t efficient for a group of people.

I had the chance to try out the Ninja Coffee Bar System and I’m impressed by all the functionality it offers. You can brew a cup of coffee or a whole carafe of coffee. You can also make a Rich Brew and Over Ice Brew to use in delicious iced coffee drinks and lattes. I’m excited to share my experience with this multi-use coffee machine with you!

Easily Brew Coffee with the Ninja Coffee Bar System

The Ninja Coffee Bar System requires water in its reservoir to run. You just fill up the water reservoir with tap water and the water is drawn into the brewing system. The machine also lets you know when the water level is low and needs to be refilled. I appreciate the clear sides of the reservoir which allow me to easily see how full it is. The system also has a built-in sensor for when it needs to be descaled.  Alternatively, you can use filtered water in the machine to minimize mineral buildup and delay the cleaning cycle.

To brew coffee, first measure the right amount of ground coffee using the measuring scoop that attaches to the side of the machine. Place this coffee into the mesh coffee filter, which swivels into the machine. Finally, push the button on the machine for your brew of choice.

Use the small end of the coffee scoop to brew individual cups of coffee. Use the larger end of the scoop to brew a carafe of coffee. The Ninja Coffee Bar System offers the functionality needed to brew a rich single cup of coffee or an entire carafe of 3 to 6 cups of coffee.

Convenient Coffee Bar Features

The Ninja Coffee Bar System doesn’t require paper filters thanks to the build-in mesh coffee filter. You can effectively brew an individual cup or carafe of coffee without spilling any grounds into your brew. The mesh filter easily lifts out for rinsing and cleaning.

The Ninja Coffee Bar System also has a milk frother on the side of the machine. It doesn’t heat up the milk but the frother effectively whips air into your milk or cream, creating a light and fluffy consistency. I especially like this feature for making kid’s hot chocolate because the whipped milk cools down the drink while giving it a creamy flavor. If you just want a bit of cream on top of your hot beverage, froth the cream or half & half in advance and spoon it over the top of your hot cup of coffee. I found it most effective to put an inch or so of cream or half & half into a cup and whip it by repeatedly moving the end of the frother just under and over the surface of the cream to mix in air.

You can make all kinds of coffee drinks with the Ninja Coffee Bar System. Make your coffee brew of choice and add coffee syrups and flavored creamers. Some of my favorite drinks are a caramel macchiato, mocha and a classic Irish cream latte. Turn a regular cup of coffee into a latte by adding a few pumps of flavored coffee syrup and a scoop of frothy cream.

Ninja Caramel Macchiato

Easily make a Caramel Macchiato at home with the Ninja Coffee Bar System! First, brew the small cup quantity of ground coffee on the Rich Brew setting. Next, heat up some creamer or milk in another cup. Add a few pumps of vanilla syrup and froth it with the built-in milk frother on the side of the machine. Finally, pour the Rich Brew coffee over the frothed milk and top it with caramel sauce.

Ninja Iced Mocha

You can also make an Iced Mocha coffee drink using the Ninja Coffee Bar System. Start by brewing a cup of coffee using the Over Ice Brew setting. Add a few pumps of mocha syrup and any other flavored syrups you like. I enjoy adding hazelnut or coconut syrup to my coffee drinks. Top the drink with ice and a quantity of cold frothed milk or cream.

It’s always fun to mix up a delicious drink for yourself or even the kids! My girls love flavored milk that’s been frothed and topped with a bit of shaved chocolate. Flavored milk is yummy hot or cold. Simply add a few pumps of syrup and whip it using the Ninja Coffee Bar System build-in milk frother.
