Ideas for Teens | Things Girls Need

by Kiera Wallace | Updated: November 9, 2024

These ideas for teens include everyday essentials for girls! Try this natural skincare and cozy loungewear, or get organized with trendy room decor and organizing solutions. I know exactly what teen girls like, because I am one. I’m 12 years old and I love beauty products, jewelry, and stylish clothes.

L’BRI Products

First on my list, L’BRI skin care products are amazing and effective. I think these products are wonderful and refreshing. They help so much with my mild acne. Personally, my favorite products are the Oil-Free Moisture Lotion, Deep Pore Freshener, and Deep Pore Cleanser. L’BRI skincare is made with all natural ingredients, with aloe as the main ingredient.

Comfy from Costco

The Comfy (from Costco) is the coziest body-shaped blanket ever! I pretty much live in it. 🙂 My dad got this Comfy wearable blanket about four years ago and he used it a lot. Recently I found it stuffed in the closet and… I adopted it! My Comfy is fleece-lined and it has a big pocket on the front. I especially love wearing it while I watch movies!

Mini Fridge

For those who love organizing, a mini fridge is a perfect item for a teen girl’s bedroom. You can use a mini fridge to store skincare or snacks. They are adorable and useful. Personally, I use my mini fridge for snacks. My favorite part about my mini fridge is the mirror on the front, which also has a lighted strip. I definitely recommend a mini fridge, a must-have on my list of ideas for teens!

Jewelry Box – Ideas for Teens

Next on my list of things teen girls need, the Voova Jewelry Box is one of my favorite things in my room. It has a lot of storage for jewelry such as earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. I think the box is cute, stylish, and a good way to organize special treasures and accessories. A classic jewelry box is also a fun gift for any teen girl.

lululemon Cross Body Bag

lululemon is one of my favorite brands. Because of this, I think their cross body bag is so cool and useful. I practically wear my cross body bag everywhere! This bag has three mesh pockets inside and one zip-up pocket on the back. I use my cross body bag to store lip balm, money & cards, and hand sanitizer. It is small enough to take anywhere!

Squishmallows

Additionally, Squishmallows are definitely an essential item for teen girls. They are perfect to use as cute decor or to hug when you feel sad. You can find many styles of squishmallows on Amazon. I lay on my squishmallows and cuddle them when I watch movies.

Graphic Tees – Ideas for Teens

Every single teenager absolutely needs a collection of graphic tees!!! They are cute & stylish, and you can get them in so many different designs. Make sure to choose graphic tees that are good quality and not too expensive. You can buy graphic tees at Kohls or on Amazon. Graphic tees are so cute to wear to school, youth group, and in everyday life.

Jewelry Hanger

Jewelry hangers are very useful for displaying cute accessories such as necklaces and earrings. I got mine at a garage sale, but you can also get a jewelry hanger on Amazon. Before you buy a jewelry hanger, make sure it is tasteful and good quality.

LED Light Box

I absolutely love this LED light box because I can use my creativity to write whatever I want, in my own way. I can arrange the letter cards to spell words on the board and then hit a switch to light up my custom message. You can find a variety of light box styles on Amazon. Light boxes are especially fun to use as party decor.

Travel Caddy – Ideas for Teens

Next, this adorable pink cosmetic box has a lid with a mirror and a light that converts into a mini vanity. This caddy is great for storing makeup and skincare. Furthermore, I can easily bring it to cheerleading performances and on a trip. The box holds a generous number of makeup products, and the mirror swivels from vertical to horizontal to become the box lid. Overall, I think this travel caddy combines cute style with clever design, making it perfect for teen girls.

That’s all for now! I hope you enjoyed my girly list of ideas for teens. 🙂 Many of these items can be very helpful for organizing and enjoying teen girl life. I might add some more things to this post in the feature!

TRAVEL | KIDS | ADVENTURES 🌟 Creative family ideas! #createplaytravel

Did you know clothes driers are rare in Europe? 👚👖 Many people line dry their clothes, in an effort to be eco-conscious. When we find the occasional drier at a rental house, it has a water reservoir that we have to empty, almost every load. Often we line dry our clothes, which takes 2 days to dry. 🌟 Learning how to do laundry is one example of how traveling can inspire some lifestyle adjustments. Overall, our family is learning so much and creating so many memories as we explore the world. 🫶🌍🌟 Inspiring families to live creatively and make memories, through adventures! 🌎🩵➡️ follow along! @createplaytravel#createplaytravel #worldschoolfamily #travelwithkids #adventurefamily
Shocker — in France, most candy is made without Shocker — in France, most candy is made without artificial food coloring! Can we do this in the US?? 🙋‍♀️ Asking on behalf of my kids and many other parents! 😄 Here’s why even Haribo is labeled with “sans colorant artificiel” in France:✨ Stricter EU regulations ban or limit synthetic dyes linked to hyperactivity or allergies.🌱 There’s a big cultural focus on natural ingredients and quality over flashy colors.👀 French shoppers read labels and avoid unnecessary additives — especially for kids!⚠️ Plus, any artificial dye used must carry a warning like: “May affect children’s behavior and attention.” (Yikes!)So instead of Red 40 or Yellow 5, French treats get their fun colors from plants — think beet juice, turmeric, spirulina, and carrots. 🍓🌿🌈Honestly? We love it. Simple, clean, and still delicious! 😋Would you try candy colored only with natural ingredients? Let us know! 👇
Major Rome highlight!! Things that surprised us at Major Rome highlight!! Things that surprised us at the Colosseum! 😲🇮🇹Stone passageways surround the arena, with three levels of seating — and beneath the floor lies a maze of underground chambers once used to hold wild animals and gladiators before battle.✨ We learned that the Colosseum could hold over 50,000 spectators, and it was built in just 8 years — incredible engineering for ancient Rome!We reserved special access to the top levels, where only 10 people are allowed every 30 minutes. Our family filled 6 of those spots! 🙌 Having those quiet moments above the arena, with no crowds, was surreal.📸 If you ever visit, definitely consider the extra ticket for this unique perspective!🌟 Inspiring families to live creatively and make memories, through adventures! 🌎🩵➡️ follow along! @createplaytravelHi! When in Rome… 📸🇮🇹 Taking photos at the When in Rome… 📸🇮🇹 Taking photos at the iconic Trevi Fountain was more magical than we expected!💧Built in the 18th century, the Trevi Fountain is the largest Baroque fountain in Rome — and one of the most famous in the world. Designed by architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini in 1762, it stands at the junction of three roads (“tre vie”), which is where it gets its name!We discovered there’s a crowd control system now in place — and it made all the difference! We stood in a short line to enter the front viewing area, completely free and without a time limit. We ended up staying for about 30 minutes, snapping photos and soaking in the view alongside just a few dozen other people.✨ It was such a cool surprise to enjoy this spot without battling a huge crowd. Definitely worth waiting for the photo op!📸 Is visiting the Trevi Fountain on your bucket list??🌟 Inspiring families to live creatively and make memories, through adventures! 🌎🩵🌟 Hi! We created unforgettable memories exploring these We created unforgettable memories exploring these iconic Roman landmarks with our kids! 🇮🇹⛲️ Trevi Fountain — Built in the 1700s, this Baroque masterpiece is where three ancient roads once met. The scale and details are incredible! Standing 85 feet tall and over 160 feet wide, it’s one of the largest fountains in the world!🇪🇸 Spanish Steps — Completed in 1725, these 135 steps link Piazza di Spagna to the Trinità dei Monti church above. We all enjoyed the exercise while climbing these iconic stairs. 🏛️ Pantheon – Nearly 2,000 years old, it’s the best-preserved ancient Roman building. Our kids were amazed by the giant columns (each carved from a single piece of Egyptian granite) and the open oculus letting sunlight stream through the dome.Things we learned while traveling # 10 ☀️ History came alive for all of us in Rome! What a gift to experience it as a family ✨🌍🌟 Inspiring families to live creatively and make memories, through adventures! ✈️🩵➡️ follow along! @createplaytravel#createplaytravel #rome🇮🇹 #travelingwithkids #adventurefamily #worldschooling #kidswhotravel
