Traveling or going shopping with young kids can be tricky. Because of this, having a reliable stroller can make it much easier to leave the house. I absolutely love our Joovy Caboose Ultralight stroller. It has everything I need to take my kids on errands or adventures!
After my 3rd child was born, I knew I needed to figure out some creative ways to leave the house. I wasn’t eager to go out with a newborn and two toddlers. I found the most effective way to keep track of kids was to keep them in the stroller. Sometimes I let my older daughter walk and pushed my 2-year-old and 1-year-old in the stroller. The Joovy Caboose Ultralight stroller feels very streamlined and it fits two kids! I’m excited to share why I love this stroller, a basic essential for any family with young kids.
Ultralight and Compact
The name says it all, right? This Joovy Caboose Ultralight stroller is super compact and only needed a bit of assembly upon arrival. We had to put the wheels on, front tray on, and install the extra optional second seat, which we found super useful for two young kids. Everything is easy to assemble and pretty self explanatory. Put the wheels on and click the tray in place, and you are good to go! The stroller smoothly folds down into a fairly thin size that you can easily fit into the trunk of a car along with any extra baggage.
Joovy Ultralight Highlights
- Sealed bearing wheels offer better maneuverability.
- Larger squared-off canopy provides roomy head room.
- Rear canopy extension gives back seat rider protection.
- Large storage basket.
- Includes parent organizer with two beverage holders & zippered pocket.
The Joovy Caboose Ultralight is easy to assemble!
The Joovy Caboose Ultralight fits compactly in the back of a car.
This stroller is perfect for taking around town, on family vacations, on the airplane, or just for an afternoon family adventure. The wheels are best suited for pavement and light gravel. The Joovy Caboose Ultralight stroller is perfect for taking to the mall and containing squirmy little kids. My baby can easily sit in the front and my more active 2-year-old can sit on the back platform. If you install the optional Caboose seat then both kids can ride facing forward and both seats recline for napping on the go.
My little guy enjoyed lounging in the back seat of the Joovy Caboose Ultralight stroller while his sisters ran around the zoo. If we take the back seat out, my toddler can have the option to ride on the stroller’s back platform and get off easily. This stroller set up works well when we are visiting interactive places such as the children’s museum or mall with lots of things to see.
Family Afternoon Outing in Sandpoint, Idaho
The other day we needed a change of scene so we took the family to a small town about an hour away from where we live. We enjoyed walking around, getting lunch, and shopping at some of the local stores. Family adventures with kids are always fun, especially when you can keep them simple and hassle free so that everyone is happy! We discovered the Sandpoint Cedar St. Bistro which serves fruit filled crepes and savory crepes. I ordered the Chicken Basil Crepe which was amazing; light, fluffy and creamy all at the same time! Of course my girls opted to split the Chocolate Banana Crepe. What kid wouldn’t think that lunch choice was amazing? My girls love bananas and chocolate so this lunch was an easy win, and it gave me some lunch ideas for our routine at home. Crepes are so easy to make!
Even baby brother gobbled up some crepes!
Browsing the local shops was fun. This little girl loves everything mermaid!
We also stopped by a fun little kid’s area in one of the Sandpoint shopping spots that had craft supplies. The girls made some paper crafts with daddy while I browsed a few of the local stores. A craft area is a great idea to entertain kids while mom shops!
Go on Family Adventures
I think it’s important for young families to get out and explore their town and local attractions. As a mom, I often feel stuck at home and the kids definitely get stir crazy. I love that our family has the flexibility to explore on the weekends. We often make fun family memories, spend time with friends, and enjoy small adventures with our kids. I’d love to encourage our kids to love exploring new places as they get older, and it never hurts to enjoy a snack or a nap while on the go.

Wow! Love that this has so many different seating options! Looks like it would be great for family outings!
This is such a smart design for a stroller. Definitely looks like a lifesaver
Baby #3 is due in May and I am NOT ready. My husband and I were against getting a big huge bulky stroller. i didn’t even know they made compact double strollers. This is so cute! and ergonomic. My husband is deployed often so “LIGHT” is super appealing. Having to… Read more »
I’ve heard of these, they sound great!
I agree that it’s so important to let our kids experience the local flavor. And those crepes looked amazing. I’m sure my daughter and I would love that place.
I used to have one of these and it was great. It did fall apart after two years of abuse, but I think that’s pretty good for a stroller. I actually miss it’s relative turning ease and lightness compared the one we have now. The only issue I had with… Read more »
What a great stroller. I’ve been thinking about getting the kick stand for ours, but I like how lightweight this stroller looks. I’ll have to check it out.
That is just the cutest doggone stroller I have ever seen. Love the color and how lightweight it seems. You’ve got it made with that thing!
We love our joovy! I can actually fit my 5 yr old and 3 year old snuggling in the back seat (both pretty slim) and the infant in the front.
This stroller is so cute, I wish to get one
