My kids love playing with playdough. This is the best homemade playdough recipe because it makes bright colors and it’s not too salty. You can make it with ingredients you already have on hand!
I love inspiring my kids with messy art projects and crafty activities. We tried out some eco-friendly finger paint, play dough and natural coloring pigments that are made with ingredients derived from the earth.
My kids love sensory activities. We often do creative kids projects after school, such as making DIY cloud dough. Glitter cloud dough is soft and fun to stretch and mold. It’s not salty like playdough and it won’t dry out kids’ little hands. You can make this fluffy homemade dough with just two main ingredients!

Easter baskets are a fun way to celebrate Easter and the coming of spring! You can easily fill your kids’ Easter baskets with useful items that add value to your life without just adding clutter. I recently decluttered my girls room and discovered many small toys and accessories my kids didn’t really need. Too may toys just end up on the floor. This year I wanted to rethink my Easter basket gift giving so that I wouldn’t just waste money on random stuff. Kids enjoy surprises but moms can put together an Easter basket with small gifts that are useful too! Here are some fun Easter basket gift ideas for kids that cost less than $15.

Learning how to swim is a great skill kids can use year round. We love going to the lake in the summer and visiting our indoor community pool in the winter. If you are going to be around pools and hot tubs, it’s especially important to teach kids how to be safe around water. Sun Tail Mermaid fins are a fun way to encourage kids to learn how to swim and feel comfortable in the water.

My kids love playtime activities that are interactive and creative! Kids can dress up with Wild Things Animal Blankets, play with homemade glitter slime or create art on a chalkboard table to make the shortened fall days a little more interesting.
Do you sometimes struggle to come up with creative activities for the kiddos? My kids often have extra energy on days they can’t go outside. This means we get to do creative projects, make a DIY sensory bin, or practice learning new skills through play. Did you know kids learn something new from practically everything they do? Think about it. When kids ride a bike they practice balancing. When kids color they are practicing motor skills. When kids eat lunch they are discovering favorite foods or possibly trying new foods. Every day is like a maze of exploration for kids, which I think is fun! Here are some imagination-inspiring activities for kids to do on a rainy day.
