Vendees Surprise DIY Beauty Kits for Kids

by Katie Wallace | Updated: July 1, 2020

Have you seen these fun Vendees Surprise DIY kits? Like many other kids, my girls love beauty products, color, glitter, and surprises. We often make our own spa products including bath bombs and lip balm. These surprise DIY dispensers from Vendees are an easy way for girls to make their own bath and beauty products on their own! Kiera and Sylvie really enjoyed unboxing and demonstrating how these surprise DIY kits work!

We received complimentary product from Vendees for review. All opinions are our own.

My girls were delighted to receive for review these Vendees Surprise DIY Dispensers. The sets we tested out include the Atomic Rainbow layered lip balm kit and Sweet Treat surprise bath bombs kit. Each of these do-it-yourself sets includes materials for making homemade beauty products, as well as some surprises!

Vendees Surprise DIY Dispensers

First, the anticipation of unboxing is always the best part. I made sure Kiera and Sylvie thoroughly read the packaging and all the details of these surprise kits. We also did an unboxing video, so my girls had to know their talking points!

My girls were very excited to open up these Vendees Surprise DIY Dispensers. Each set is themed and has a collection of materials to make beauty products and surprises kids can unpackage and reveal.

Vendees Surprise DIY Bath Bombs

The Sweet Treat surprise bath bombs set comes with bath bombs, whipped soaps, sprinkle shakers, and glitter. In one section of the box, kids can pull on a tab to dispense a sheet of surprise stickers. Several bubble jars inside the set contain mystery accessories such as a cupcake ring, treat erasers, and a doughnut key chain. To reveal each surprise, Kiera and Sylvie took turns to pull the tabs and open the perforated doors inside each box.

Once opened, my girls wasted no time to create their first custom bath bomb. Kiera carefully opened up a bath bomb and Sylvie squeezed some of the whipped soap on top. Kiera topped the bath bomb with a dash of heart sprinkles and glitter.

Vendees Surprise DIY Layered Lip Balm

Next, we opened the Atomic Rainbow layered lip balm set. Sylvie opened the DIY lip balm supplies including the gel base, wax drops, coloring, lip balm tubes, and measuring tools. Next, the mystery reveal section held 3 more bubble jars with surprise accessories and rainbow accents. These Vendees Surprise DIY Dispensers are especially fun because once girls reveal all the surprises, they can set to work making their own beauty products!

These fun vending machine-inspired kits are a sweet way to spend an afternoon making creative spa products for kids. Vendees surprise DIY dispensers are also a great gift idea for any special occasion!
You can shop for Vendees sets at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Hobby Lobby, Indigo, Learning Express, Michael’s, and Walmart.

Easy DIY Sparkle Lip Gloss

Just like with these kits, you can easily make your own lip gloss using simple materials such as beeswax pellets, shea butter (gel base) and coconut oil. I especially love experimenting with colors and fragrances when making homemade lip balm.

DIY Scented Sugar Scrubs

Once you’ve made your own lip balm or bath bombs, you can easily make homemade sugar scrub. All you need is sugar, olive oil and a natural fragrance. Mix in lavender essential oil or peppermint extract to create a relaxing, luxurious scrub. Homemade sugar scrub is best made in small batches and used within a few days.

Making your own bath and beauty products is a fun way to enjoy practical art. Spa products are consumable, so not only will kids enjoy making lip balm and bath bombs, they’ll also enjoy using them. Last but not least, hands-on creative activities are a great way to teach kids how to follow directions and make cool things on their own!

Coming to terms with the past, and pressing forwar Coming to terms with the past, and pressing forward with grace, that’s all any of us can do.Lately, I’ve been asking myself some hard questions… especially when it comes to homeschooling. Here’s the truth:I can’t keep homeschooling the way I’ve been doing it.I’m not a teacher in the traditional sense, and I don’t love teaching. That’s not why we chose this path. The real reason we homeschool is because we want our kids to have freedom.🌟 Freedom to learn how to learn🩵 Freedom to discover what they love😀 Freedom to grow in diligence and live out their faith boldlyBut as I wrestle with our present, I’ve also had to face my past.I was homeschooled, too. There were a lot of blessings in that, but also some challenges. I grew up in a conservative environment where the focus was often on sheltering kids. And while I know that came from a place of love, it was hard. Especially as a teenager trying to figure out what I believed for myself. In our family’s younger years, our homeschool rhythm has been pretty relaxed, mostly workbooks and flexible days. But moving forward, things are going to look different. Here’s what I do know about the road ahead (and I’ll share more in upcoming reels):— We’re still homeschooling… just reimagining it.— We’re asking the Holy Spirit to lead our family.— Our kids know the Gospel, and that’s our foundation.— We want to live with intention and boldness.— We’re giving our kids space to try new things while they’re still at home.— I’m praying for a gracious heart when the questions come (because they will come).Maybe this resonates with you. Maybe you’ve felt that tension too, between what you grew up with and what you want to build now.If so, you’re not alone. 🫶🌟(continued in the comments)Follow our journey!

Throwback to a year ago. ❤️ We did it! 🥹😎 I had our baby in Merida MX and with some effort, we got her documents lined up to bring her home. She’s a dual citizen, with double US & MX birth certificates and passports. 🌎🌟It was a great experience! 😌🌄😍 We felt like God was with us, led us through the whole process, and provided for us so tangibly even in the small things. 💗🎬 Watch my YouTube video highlighting what we learned by having a baby in Mexico!🌟 Inspiring families to live creatively and make memories, through adventures! 🌎🩵➡️ follow along! @createplaytravel#digitalnomads #birthingabroad #worldschoolingfamily #adventurefamily #travelwithbaby
Tuscany villa stay straight out of a fairytale! ✨🌿🇮🇹This overnight at an “agriturismo” was perfect for our family of 6. 🌹🍷 We loved staying in our cozy villa, exploring the gorgeous tree lined lane, smelling roses, and sipping local wine while our kids played in the yard. Safety is a top priority when traveling with kids! Safety is a top priority when traveling with kids! 🌎🌟 We’ve learned a lot through our experiences. For example, when arranging a ride to the airport in Cancun, we followed these guidelines ⬇️1. We hired a driver through a company that had good reviews. This gave us peace of mind when traveling 4 hours across Mexico ☀️2. We told friends/family about our travel plans including when we left Merida and when we arrived in Cancun. This gave us some accountability 😃3. Finally, we trusted our instincts. We are continually growing in our travel knowledge and intuition. We often know when an arrangement needs to be changed. Often, we meet very friendly and interesting people!➡️ Would you take your kids on an adventure in Mexico? We had a very positive and memorable experience!! 🌴🌟 Inspiring families to live creatively and make memories, through adventures 🌎🩵➡️ follow along! @createplaytravel#createplaytravel #homeschoolfamily #travelwithkids #adventurefamily #worldschooling #kidswhotravel
