Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! I love celebrating this holiday with my kids and family. My daughter enjoys having a Valentine’s Day party with her friends. We often make a Valentine’s Day post office using a cardboard box. We make cookies and crafty Valentines to swap with friends. It’s also fun to give small gifts! Here are some inexpensive Valentine’s Day gift ideas for the whole family.
Fun V-Day Gifts for Kids
Character erasers are fun to collect and useful for correcting mistakes. Writing notes is more fun when you’re using a fountain pen. My kids love using colorful school supplies from Ooly for their school work and craft activities. These colorful crayons, paint sticks and erasers are perfect small gifts for Valentine’s Day surprises!
If your kids enjoy collecting characters, they are sure to enjoy the Splashlings ocean friends collection. Each play set comes with a variety of ocean characters including sea creatures, mermaids, tiny treasures and more. Some sets even include surprise characters!
My girls also enjoy collecting outfits and accessories that go with their American Girl dolls collection. Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to gift my girls a new doll outfit, instead of lots of sweets. This darling magenta doll dress and accessories reminds me of Valentines Day.
Matchbox cars are a great gift idea for boys and girls alike. You can find so many car designs in your kids’ favorite colors. They’re also an inexpensive gift idea; matchbox cars cost anywhere from $1 to $2.
Homemade playdough is an easy DIY gift idea for kids who like doing sensory activities. You can easily mix up a batch of colorful play dough and store it in closable containers to replenish your kids’ playdough supply. My kids love playing with playdough and I appreciate that it’s a simple kids’ activity which I can easily get out.
Pampering Gifts for Mom
Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to pamper mom! High quality, natural body products are some of my favorite gifts to receive. I love using soothing sugar scrub, bees wax lip balm and moisturizing lotion. It’s nice to have a stash of my favorite body products to pamper and moisturize my skin. You don’t have to spend a lot to regularly use natural body products. I make some of my own natural body products and I also have a few favorite brands.
DIY Sugar Scrub
Easily make luxurious and natural homemade sugar scrub using a few simple ingredients. Mix together 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup olive oil, and a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Store the homemade sugar scrub in a small container. You can use sugar scrub as a relaxing body wash or a natural exfoliate on your feet, knees and elbows.
Tinted Lip Balm
Babo Botanicals tinted lip care is moisturizing and smells like roses! This is one of my all-time favorite lip products. I love the smoothness of the lip balm and the muted tint of each hue. Babo Botanicals lip tint is not lipstick, but I think it provides just the perfect amount of color. It moisturizes with Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Avocado and Jojoba Oil.
Farmhouse Fresh Products
Farmhouse Fresh is another awesome brand of natural body products. I especially love their Shea Butter moisturizers and steeped milk lotions. Farmhouse Fresh products are formulated with certified organic and 100% naturally derived ingredients chock full of fruits, vegetables, milks and more from U.S. farms.

Guys like gifts that are useful and practical, like this beanie hat with built in Bluetooth headphones. Dad can listen to music while also keeping his head warm. The knit hat is soft and comfortable, with integrated Bluetooth wireless technology and advanced digital sound.
Or give your dad a snack box you put together especially for him. If you want to splurge a little, give dad one of these Hangry Kit snack boxes. It’s helpful to bring along a handful of protein-packed snacks for winter activities such as hiking, snowmobiling, skiing and sledding with the kiddos. You can give dad a variety of snacks including nuts, beef jerky, granola bars, dark chocolate and trail mix.
Flash drives are great gifts for dad, always helpful for storing and transferring documents.
Men’s wool socks are practical for everyday use and very helpful in cold weather. Dad can wear his wool socks at home on cold winter nights, as well as outdoors for shoveling snow or going on a family hike. You can find wool socks in various levels of quality, styles, colors and patterns.
If you’re looking for a funny gift idea for dad, get him a Star Wars bobble head to decorate his desk. You can choose from all the classic Star Wars characters, including new favorites such as the Mandalorian and baby Yoda.
