Make these cute treat cups for a kids party to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Learn how we upcycled a cardboard egg carton to make the treat cups and decorated them with paper hearts.
Valentine’s Day is a fun holiday to celebrate with the whole family! My kids love doing Valentine’s Day crafts and making colorful snacks and treats. Some years we host a kids party to swap Valentines and make memories with friends!
To make these Valentine’s Day treat cups, you need a few simple materials:
Craft Supplies
- cardboard egg carton
- colored card stock
- patterned scrapbook paper
- scissors
- hot glue gun
Directions
First, use scissors to cut the egg carton cups apart to separate the cups. Because the cups will be a-symmetrical with gaps in the sides, you can stack two cups and hot glue them together to make a sturdier treat cup.
Next, cut out a medium heart from colored cardstock and hot glue it onto the front of the egg carton cup. Glue a second smaller heart of a different color or pattern onto the medium heart.
Finally, fill your DIY egg carton Valentine’s Day heart treat cups with small candies and enjoy.
