Use DIY vinegar fruit wash to prevent mold and to extend the freshness of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. Homemade berry wash is also great to use on berries that you pick from your garden!
Eating dinner together is a meaningful time for our family to connect and talk about highlights from our day. Dinner is also possibly the hardest meal to plan for. These simple meal planning tips help us eat well, save money and minimize time in the kitchen. My husband also enjoys cooking, so I often switch off with him when making dinner. I also enjoy serving a family-style assortment of food with sides and salads. But mostly we appreciate turning dinner into regular family time after a busy day.

What is loads of fun and never ends? Laundry! Just kidding about the fun part. Doing laundry does seem to take up quite a bit of time within mommy life. My kids seem to be particularly talented at creating laundry. I’ve begun teaching my girls (ages 3 and 5-years-old) how to help with gathering dirty laundry, folding their clean laundry and putting it away in their drawers. Mommy life is very busy and it’s easy for us moms to forget to take care of ourselves. I definitely spend most of my day helping my kids, cleaning up after them and training them to behave. My husband asked me why I can’t go downstairs until I’m fully ready for the day and I told him that once I’m in the kitchen, it’s very hard to get back upstairs for several hours. My 3 kids need assistance with virtually every task they do and I’m usually happy to help and clean up as we go. But sometimes the chaos of mommy life means I don’t prioritize taking care of myself.
